Owl is a very smart owl who is able to read, write and spell his own name.

He first appeared in The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, commenting on Eeyore's tail with Kanga and Roo. He also appeared trying to charge Gopher to blast Pooh out of Rabbit's front door.

Later, his house was blown down by a strong gust of wind while Pooh and Piglet were visiting, leaving Eeyore to go find a new one. He told Pooh and Piglet of the rescue when the Hundred Acre Wood was flooded. During Pooh's hero party, Eeyore returned, having found Owl's new house, Piglet's House. Ever since, Owl has lived at Piglet's, although he has often been seen in his old house.

In Pooh's Most Grand Adventure, they came to him to read Christopher Robin's note. He made it seem like it said "Worry about me. I'm going far away. Help. Christopher Robin" and he was going to Skull Cave when it really said "Don't worry, I'm not going far away, and help yourself to the honey". They eventually worked it out and the trouble ended.
